NYC Executive Chauffeur engages drivers exclusively as independent contractors (1099) — not employees.
Individual contractors: a Social Security Number (SSN) is required for IRS Form 1099-NEC. Stored encrypted. Never shared.
Company / LLC contractors: an Employer Identification Number (EIN) and signed W-9 are required.
Commercial / livery auto insurance is required for all vehicles. Personal auto policies do not qualify.
Required uploads per vehicle: proof of commercial insurance and current vehicle registration.
Background check (CORI) and DMV record authorization are mandatory. Applications reviewed within 3 business days.

  • Independent Contractor (1099). I understand I am applying as an independent contractor, not an employee of Black Car Rides. BCR bears no employer obligations toward me.
  • Accurate Information. All information in this application is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge.
  • Background Check. I consent to a CORI / criminal background check and authorize BCR to request my DMV driving record.
  • Sensitive Data. My SSN / EIN is collected solely for IRS 1099-NEC reporting and identity verification. It is stored encrypted and never shared beyond those uses.
  • Insurance. I confirm I hold (or will obtain prior to onboarding) commercial / livery auto insurance meeting BCR's minimum coverage requirements.
  • Vehicle Standards. I agree to maintain my vehicle(s) to BCR's cleanliness, presentation, and mechanical standards at all times while on service.
